Nepal Airlines gets the Goat…

Noticed this article on the BBC and thought about all those nervous flyers,  plus makes you wonder what the ever provocative advertising tactics of Michael O’Leary at Ryan Air will do to beat this…

Nepal Airlines wasn’t content to just fix the technical problems on one of their Boeing 757 jets, they also sacrificed two goats to appease Akash Bhairab, the Hindu sky god right in front of the plane. That is a whole new level of commitment to service. Any guesses on what the main in-flight course was?

The goats were sacrificed in front of the troublesome aircraft on Sunday at Nepal’s only international airport in Kathmandu in accordance with Hindu traditions, an official said. “The snag in the plane has now been fixed and the aircraft has resumed its flights,” said Raju K C, a senior airline official, without explaining what the problem had been.
