This site needs to be viewed in Google Chrome it may seem a bit random to some but the technology behind it and what can be accomplished using html is pretty amazing and exciting to a geek like me.
The Wilderness Downtown takes input from the user in the form of an address and then creates a pretty cool film out of it with some really interesting effects.
Just sit back and watch runs for about 8 minutes but worth it if only from a geek point of view.

As Facebook launches places its geo location app in the UK here is a timely story about Mark Zuckerberg, a friendly blue giant, and dirty old coal.
It’s basically a campaign from Greenpeace to help persuade “Facebook” to source more environment friendly power for its servers, you can find out more at this Greenpeace page.
This is the Seabreacher X is an advanced submersible watercraft it is based on the dolphi- inspired Seabreacher J, but it has a more aggressive Shark-style body. The X model also steps up the performance envelope with a 260hp supercharged engine, propelling the vessel to a top speed of 50mph on the surface and 25mph below.

Just watched this video and although not that bothered by heights seeing these two engineers climb a transmission tower which stands 1,768 feet made me feel a bit wobbly and I am sat at my desk.
The climber reaches the tower’s top most light beacon all streamed from his helmet-cam.
