The motivation for Torbjørn Aasen to invent an autonomous cleaning-machine was the desire for more quality time for himself and his family. He was simply fed up cleaning the floor. The dust seemed to grow out of nowhere, and – he realized – it would never stop.

In the light of the current weather extremes that we have been experiencing here in the UK and the rest of the world the following article caught my eye it seems new supercomputers will be able to give a more detailed and accurate forecast (lets hope so been a little hit and miss at the moment – plus thought we had town level at the moment ). Currently, accurate forecasts are limited to county-sized areas; but a supercomputer to be introduced at the Met Office will give much finer detail.

Just a bit of fun but Songs For Ice Cream Trucks, is just that, it’s new music for ice cream trucks recorded with a delightful array of instruments, from glockenspiel to Theremin to an old Casio Keyboard…
Wonder how long it will be until we hear these little ditties around the streets where we live….

BBC Radio 4 have shed new light on a major subject that has received little historical attention, the conspiracy on behalf of a group of influential powerbrokers, led by Prescott Bush, to overthrow FDR and implement a fascist dictatorship in the U.S. based around the ideology of Mussolini and Hitler.
It uncovers details of a planned coup in the USA in 1933 by a group of right-wing American businessmen. The coup was aimed at toppling President Franklin D Roosevelt with the help of half-a-million war veterans. The plotters, who were alleged to involve some of the most famous families in America, (owners of Heinz, Birds Eye, Goodtea, Maxwell Hse & George Bush’s Grandfather, Prescott) believed that their country should adopt the policies of Hitler and Mussolini to beat the great depression.
Very interesting insight & Scary!!!
